In 1989, Dr. Tsai and his wife Mimi had a vision to start a clinic for integrative medicine. They decided to open East West Medical Group in Fullerton, believing it was God’s will to do so. What started as a 600-sq-ft. clinic has grown into a successful 10,000 square-foot facility in Downtown Fullerton, offering acupuncture, chiropractic medicine, internal medicine, massage therapy, and herbal/nutritional counseling as part of our holistic approach to healthcare. Dr. Tsai is a Providence affiliated physician, working directly with our doctors to provide whole person care to our patients.
Dr. Tsai and Mimi have a son and a daughter who are both currently in medical school. Their family is passionate about giving back to their community, and volunteer together whenever possible. Dr. Tsai served a previous term as a Foundation board member, and his passion for the work and mission has drawn him back for a another term.
With his excellent services, he earned a recognition from the St. Joseph Heritage Healthcare for demonstrating the Heart of Mission and Ministry and for continuing the Values of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange in 2018.
What motivates your desire to give back?
Providence St Jude Medical Center has been and is important to the health of our family since 1970. We are grateful for all we have received over the years.
Why are you supporting the medical center?
I have been practicing for Providence St. Jude since 1989 and my career has been established thanks to the medical center. My children were born at Providence St. Jude and it is part of my family.
Why did you agree to join the foundation board?
I agreed to join the foundation board because the foundation is a bridge between the community and the hospital. I would like to serve as a bridge for people within the community.
