The Valve Clinic
A new but fast-growing program within St. Jude’s cardiac care services, the Valve Clinic provides focused evaluation of patients with complex valve disorder to assess their potential for life-saving treatments, such as TAVR (transcatheter aortic valve replacement) or open heart valvular surgery. The clinic supports an expedited, higher-touch referral pathway that connects patients to the most appropriate treatment plan, all while providing personalized navigation of care.Building a comprehensive care team
Currently, a single nurse practitioner is coordinating care, but further support is needed to support the growth and volume of the Valve Clinic, as well as to meet stringent quality metrics that improve the patient experience. In addition to the need for increased navigation support from either an advanced practice provider (NP or PA), a nurse navigator, or cardiovascular/TAVR coordinator, the Clinic is also in need of an RN catheter lab nurse and a CBT tech.Special operating bed in one of the surgical suites
We offer one of the state’s most sophisticated surgical settings, including a “hybrid” cardiovascular suite. This cutting-edge suite combines the diagnostic power of 4D imaging with both minimally invasive interventional procedures and traditional open-surgery techniques in the same procedure. A special operating bed in one of these diagnosis-to-treatment surgical allows for successful treatment of complex or formerly inoperable conditions.A donation makes a difference. Here’s proof.
Expanding Access to Care
Thanks to donor support, Providence St. Jude Medical Center is preparing for the opening of Finamore Place Health Center. This brand new clinic, expected to open August 2024, makes essential health care more accessible to the underserved in Orange County.
