Neighbors Helping Neighbors: A Concert on the Hill 2023
Neighbors Helping Neighbors: A Concert on the Hill drew a large crowd of music lovers and like-minded supporters to the scenic Summit House Restaurant on Thursday, May 11. The musical event was a huge success raising over $164,000 to support Providence St. Jude Medical Center’s newest Neighborhood Health Center located in Ponderosa Park, Anaheim.
Matt Mauser and the Pete Jacobs Big Band paid tribute to Frank Sinatra and captivated the multi-generational fans in attendance. Their musical collaboration had an enthusiastic crowd of 220 guests dancing as they delivered an incredible show capturing Sinatra at the height of his career.
Proceeds from the evening will support the Ponderosa Park Neighborhood Health Center in meeting the needs of local residents who are medically underserved. In 2022, the center provided over 3,500 adult medical visits, 700 behavioral health visits, 300 pediatric visits and 305 dental visits. These numbers are anticipated to grow as the center gains more awareness, and with that, an increased need for philanthropic support.
“We are absolutely thrilled with this year’s turnout. It is wonderful to see our community come together and embrace our mission to serve all, especially those who are poor and vulnerable,” says Dub Drees, chief philanthropy officer. “I’d like to specifically recognize Summit House Restaurant as they have generously underwritten this event for over 30 years. Their continuous dedication exemplifies what it means to be part of a unified group of supporters.”
Thank you to our premier sponsors and supporters who made this event an unforgettable night once again. We are forever grateful for your partnership. It has brought hope and healing to our neighbors. We could not do this important work without each of you.
