2023 Philanthropy Physician Champion
Natalia Covarrubias-Eckardt, M.D., medical director, inpatient rehabilitation and pain management at Providence St. Jude Medical Center was one of eight clinicians across the Providence South Division to be recognized with the 2023 Philanthropy Physician Champion Award. A distinguished leader with 13 years of practice, she has been an essential partner in accelerating clinical excellence within our hospital in addition to advancing patient care.
Dr. Covarrubias-Eckardt is a tremendous partner in philanthropy committed to supporting the foundation in meeting its fundraising goals. She consistently makes herself available to meet with foundation staff to discuss strategic priorities and meet with donors to demonstrate the latest advancements and vision for growth within our nationally ranked rehabilitation program.
Dr. Covarrubias-Eckardt was instrumental in helping create a gift proposal that resulted in a transformational gift. She supports and attends foundation events and participates in physician panels for our donors. Her outstanding care and passion for her patients have inspired numerous donors to give in her honor. We are blessed and grateful for her partnership.
