Easing the Healing Journey
Providence St. Jude receives grant to support patients with traumatic brain injuries
Providence St. Jude Medical Center recently received an $825,000 grant from the California Department of Rehabilitation to support comprehensive care for individuals with traumatic brain injuries (TBI). This funding, which was only awarded to seven organizations throughout the state, ensures the St. Jude Brain Injury Network (SJBIN) can provide essential services to those who need them most.
The St. Jude Brain Injury Network program offers long-term planning and support services to community members who have experienced a TBI. Since its inception, SJBIN has been at the forefront of providing a spectrum of care tailored to the unique needs of TBI survivors. Some beneficiaries seek guidance and information, while others receive in-depth, personalized support from the program’s dedicated team members.
For SJBIN, this funding helps pay for essential services, such as community reintegration, supported living, vocational supportive services, education and referrals. These services are crucial in helping TBI survivors regain a sense of normalcy and independence, allowing them to live fuller, more meaningful lives.
This latest grant will enable SJBIN to expand its reach and continue its vital work, ensuring that TBI survivors have the resources they need to navigate their recovery.
