Welcome New Board Members

Duncan Johnson, Ed.D.

Duncan and his wife, Carolyn, moved to Fullerton in 1962 when Duncan began teaching English at Buena Park High School. He later chaired the English department at Troy High School, served as assistant principal of Troy, principal of Nicolas Junior High and ultimately as superintendent of Fullerton School District for 15 years. In addition, he has been an active volunteer at the medical center for over 15 years, including serving as a member of the Institutional Review Board, Volunteer Guild president and as a coordinator for the No One Dies Alone program.

Yvonne Yen

Ms. Yen was first introduced to the Foundation through a colleague in Brea Rotary where she is an active member. She remembers making face shields with Rotary for St. Jude during the pandemic and said working on the project brought her great comfort and purpose. Ms. Yen is a business owner for a global e-commerce platform and enjoys working with dynamic people. Born in Taiwan, she is often found traveling to various countries, but in her spare time, enjoys spending time with her husband, Calvin, and her two daughters. Ms. Yen is eager to be a bridge to new networks for the Foundation, particularly the Asian community. Excited to bring support to her local hospital, Yvonne says, “It is time to make St. Jude shine!”

Dr. Stephen Tsai

Dr. Stephen Tsai is a doctor specializing in acupuncture and integrative medicine. He and his wife, Mimi, are the founders of East West Medical Group in Fullerton, offering acupuncture, chiropractic medicine, internal medicine, massage therapy and herbal/nutritional counseling as part of a holistic approach to health care.  Dr. Tsai previously served on the Providence St. Jude Memorial Foundation board, but his passion for the work and the mission have drawn him back for another term.
