Neighbors Helping Neighbors

An evening of connection, compassion and community impact

On April 30, 2026, supporters of Providence St. Jude Medical Center gathered at the Summit House Restaurant in Fullerton for the annual Neighbors Helping Neighbors event, a beloved evening that brings the community together in support of those in need.

The evening felt like a true gathering of neighbors, individuals united by a commitment to care for one another and strengthen the health of the community. Throughout the night, guests heard powerful reminders of why this work matters.

At the heart of the evening was a vision to expand access to care through the new St. Jude Neighborhood Health center, scheduled to open in 2027.

Designed to support vulnerable patients in one of the most critical moments of their care — immediately after leaving the hospital — the clinic will serve individuals who are often medically fragile, without a primary care provider or stable support system.

Without this connection, many are at risk of falling through the cracks and returning to the hospital. The clinic will provide essential follow-up care, help patients navigate medications and next steps, connect them to community resources, and guide them toward a long-term medical home. Attendees responded with remarkable generosity during the evening’s community challenge, coming together to raise over $160,000 in support of this vital work.

The evening featured moments of joy and celebration, including a high-energy performance of the Beale Street Boogie Dueling Pianos, which brought guests together in laughter and song.

Neighbors Helping Neighbors is a reflection of what is possible when a community comes together, turning compassion into action and ensuring that no one faces their most vulnerable moments alone.
