Duncan and Carolyn Johnson have had a serendipitous connection with Providence St. Jude Medical Center dating back to 1968.

Natalia Covarrubias-Eckardt, M.D., medical director, inpatient rehabilitation and pain management at Providence St. Jude Medical Center was one of eight clinicians across the Providence South Division to be recognized with the 2023 Philanthropy Physician Champion Award. 

Providence South Division Philanthropy honored eight physicians at its annual Philanthropy Physician Champion Awards event on October 30.

The event’s ultimate success was reflected in the generosity of its guests, with an astonishing $720,000 raised. This incredible milestone ensures Providence St. Jude can continue in its mission of providing high-level care and support to cancer patients and their families who entrust us with their care.

Providence St. Jude Medical Center has established its first Endowed Chairs thanks to generous gifts from the Klaus and Blaski families.

A lifelong fascination with the brain led Dr. Johnson Moon to consider a career in cognitive sciences before settling on medicine.
